They absolutely NEEDED to win yesterday to get the bad taste out of their mouths. Thank goodness the ballgame was tight and well-played.

I look at it this way: Almost every single player in Monday night's game played terrible baseball. They all had their horrible game at the same time, so maybe they got the suck out of their system.

That was a nice win. But if we plan on doing anything down the stretch we need to start beating up on the bad AL teams. Oakland is one of those bad AL teams. Giving up 14 runs to the worst offensive team in the AL isn't good. If we can continue winning series that would be awesome. A statement game today would be nice.

all right all right it aint like this was the end of the world, just 1 game and look at yesterday, the boyz re-bounded with a big win. everyone is putting a fork in the twins now but so what it was 1 loss; now were back to our winnning ways. i got a good feeling bout cuddeyer or mikey clutch as we should call em going 3-4 tonite with 1 hr and 4 rbi. dont call it a comeback he been hear all along!!!!

I won't go into much detail about last night, but I blame Gardy for most of what happened in our last two losses that stem to the 4-1 win vs the Rangers...if Gardy would stop managing "by the book" he maybe would have our effective relievers ready for situations where they would be most needed (such as the 3-3 game vs Texas and again last night before it got out of control)... I believe Gardy has cost the Twins several games this year and if the Twins do not make a move, it'll only get worse and they will surely be no better than a .500 team. (this isn't even bringing into the discussion of our HOLE in the #2 spot in the lineup...) With Crede being out every other day, it's becoming more and more a major issue with not having 1 capable infielder to play 2B... and by the time Grudz is ready it may be too late.

The Twins should be 4-0 on this road trip and back in 1st place, looking to put together a great win streak against inferior opponents (A's and Rangers) while building confidence going into a tough series vs a playoff caliber team (Angels) and looking to show the rest of the AL that they are a playoff team themselves... Instead, they are managed poorly and much needed wins are slipping away in the late innings... at 47-46, only 69 games remain, which means the Twins need to go 43-26 to reach 90 wins and have a decent shot at winning the division....
That's a .623 win%, so being a .500 team won't cut it.
